Inspired by the light playing on the landscape as the seasons change, Sue Payton's atmospheric watercolour paintings capture many local Shropshire landmarks.

"My love of drawing started as a small child in Wolverhampton, however I chose to pursue a scientific career after leaving school. It was not until I moved, with my young family, to Lilleshall in 1999, that I decided to devote more time to art and to developing my watercolour skills. I have since painted numerous local Shropshire scenes as well as paintings inspired by trips to places such as the USA, Italy, Zambia and, of course, South Wales, where my parents now live. My range of subjects has also expanded to include animals and flowers.
